Set up to meet the needs of the Home Information Pack (HIP) legislation which became law from 1st August 2007, John Lott's aim is to provide Home Condition Reports and Energy Performance Certificates for the House Owner or Estate Agent to put into the HIP.
It is the intention of John Lott to provide a first class, caring service to clients and on those occasions of high demand, holiday, sickness or if the property is out of the work area, other members of the Association of Devon and Cornwall Home Inspectors and Energy Assessors (DCHI) will step in to ensure the Instruction is not held up.
By working together, members of DCHI represent all the skills and specialisms that are needed to carry out inspections on every type of property and clients can be assured that the job will be done properly and on time.
By endeavour and professional application we are building a reputation of quality and reliability in Home Inspections and Energy Performance Assessments for clients living in and around Exeter and East Devon.
We will charge a fair fee for the work we do and currently this is on a scale of £90 - £120 for the Energy Certificate and £250 - £450 for the Home Condition Report, both according to size and complexity of property. On current prices a Home Information Pack with EPC costs about £300 inclusive, depending on property and the Local Authority involved.
Our philosophy is to provide a local service to local people and our Exeter Office is ideal as a base for our service in and around Exeter and East Devon.
